Editor’s Notes: It can be very relaxing to just sit out on a weekend and watch surfers pounding the waves. This nice video has a quiet feel and I love how it incorporates the tourists and viewers into the experience.
From the Producer: A BIG winter swell hit the Australian east coast at the end of last week. Conditions on Saturday along the Australian east coast were epic – a clean offshore breeze, monster sets rolling in, tourists and Sydneysiders perched along coastal vantage points whilst experienced surfers took on the massive pacific swell.
Spent a couple of hours shooting the waves + surrounding colour during some classic Tama conditions – some of the sets looked like Hawaii!
Any help in identifying the surfers featured in this story by forwarding the link on would be appreciated – I’m pretty sure they’d like to see their waves from the spectators perspective.
