Editor’s Notes: A fast-paced and well-edited video of a group of multimedia artists hiking the John Muir Trail through California’s mountains in order to bring the experience back to the armchair traveler. Paraphrased from the Producers on Vimeo: In the summer of 2011, a group of multimedia artists spent 25 days hiking the 219 mile long John Muir Trail. They captured their experience on the trail and brought it back to the general public through a gallery exhibit of photographs, video installations and hands-on displays. They hope that these will allow visitors to truly get a feeling for the beauty and majesty of the trail without what goes with hiking (burning lungs and blisters). Alongside the exhibit will be a feature length documentary chronicling their adventures on the trail.
This is the first glimpse into their journey, which is accompanied by the single, ALMOST THERE by Opus Orange.
