Editor’s Notes: Entrance into the park is about a 30 minute drive from the strip (go to Charleston, turn west towards the mountains and just keep going until you run into the park). The park is set up as a one-way loop and entry is per car. You can stop in at the visitor’s center first for an introduction or just head out to one of the several areas for parking, hiking and picnicking. Be sure to head to the top of the scenic overlook – on a clear day you can see all the way to the Strip and to the mountains beyond – about 60 miles.
