Editors Notes: In addition to being one of Portugal’s most famous fishing villages, Nazare has some fabulous body boarding as seen in this video. The Nazare Special Edition, a body-boarding contest where 24 athletes will compete for a World Championship title.

If body-boarding is a little too intense for you, some tamer activities in Portugal include basking on the beaches and exploring architecture.
